In the heart of Neive, one of the Most Beautiful Villages of Italy and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, there is the Locanda, an almost fairy-tale word that brings to mind something always suspended between story and reality. One speaks of a locanda when, in the past, travellers would stop in a warm and safe place where they could stay for a while before setting off again.

Restaurant with a panoramic terrace over the Langhe
The Locanda Borgo Vecchio is above all a restaurant. But don’t expect formality or sterile surroundings: here you eat with your heart and toast with the landscape.
Each dish is born from a meticulous search for local ingredients, personally selected by Valter Casetta, the founder, and carefully transformed by chef Gabriele Piscitelli. The cuisine is a bridge between past and present, between the flavours of tradition and an aesthetic that also pleases the eye.
The panoramic terrace is the true jewel: the locanda offers a 180° view over the hills of the Langhe, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with glimpses of the Tower of Barbaresco, the Castle of Magliano Alfieri and that of Guarene. In the background, the alpine frame of Monviso offers spectacular sunsets all year round.

In the centre of Neive, Emporium Borgo Vecchio is a small shop where you can rediscover the flavours of the restaurant. The Salam ‘d Neive, the Langa sandwich, preserves, wines, sweets and other selected specialities. Everything is artisanal, everything tells a story.
